Current Status
There are different species of spider monkeys and each has a different threat and population level. IUCN Red List lists one species vunerable, four species endangered and two species as critically endangered. This is bad. This means that their numbers are decreasing in the wild and they might end up as extinct. This is most likely due to deforestation and hunting. This has to stop.
