Spider Monkeys
The Spider Monkey is an intresting animal. They are primates. They are a great example of primitive life. They are found in tropical forests of Central and South America, from southern Mexico to Brazil. The genus (family) contains seven species of different Spider Monkeys with some smaller sub-species. The spider monkey is a "New World" monkey which is opposite to "Old World", which means it originates from North or South America.
Several species of Spider monkeys are one of the most threatened New World monkeys.
